Contribution

If you have written an article related to Ars Magica, large or small,
and you wish to publicise it, then you are welcome to do so at this
site. We are always very grateful for any new or interesting material
which we receive! If you send an article for inclusion, note that:
- No profit will be made from your work. This site is strictly
non-commercial.
- You will be fully acknowledged as the author of your piece, and
unless you stipulate otherwise, you will retain copyright.
- Your web site URL and/or email address can be included in the list
of contributors so that visitors can send you feedback directly.
Alternatively, if you do not wish us to host your article, we can link
to it elsewhere. We aim to include links to interesting articles, as
well as articles themselves.
Subject Guidelines
We would like to host articles which come under any of the following
categories:
- Background Material
Anything which further details any aspect of the Order of Hermes or
Mythic Europe in general. (Information on Houses, customs and
practices of magi, articles relating to the Church or the Infernal
Realm, Faerie Lore, Artes Liberales, etc.)
- Rules
Anything which constitutes a new ruleset and adds to the system. (We
do not particularly want details of minor rules tweaks, or
unnoteworthy interpretations of existing rules, though.)
- Mediaeval History
Any article which further fleshes out details of historical Europe,
either real or Mythic. (Customs, practices, notable events, timelines,
etc.)
- Characters
Any written-up characters which are interesting or unique in some
way. (We don't especially want a simple list of stats for a
starting magus, but an original character that would make a good NPC,
either magus or not, would be suitable.)
- Essays
Any interesting in-character writings. (Spells are OK if they
support details of some magical theory or tradition, or if they form
some kind of `themed set', but we'd rather not have simple spells
by themselves.)
- Stories
Any interesting Ars Magica-related fiction which you may have written.
- Creatures
Anything which could form part of a Bestiary, either Magical, Divine,
Infernal, Fae or mundane. (Preferably more than just a simple
list of creature stats, though.)
- Utilities
Any program (Java or otherwise) or utility which may be useful to the
Ars Magica storyguide or player.
- Articles on any other topic which you think may be of interest
to the Ars Magica fan.
Note that all articles herein are intended to be saga-independent.
Anything which is related to a specific saga, or at least which could not be
adapted to other sagas, whilst it may be of interest, is beyond the
purview of this site.
Format of Contribution
Articles can be accepted in any of the following formats (in a slight
order of preference):
- Native HTML (.html or .htm)
- HTML (.html or .htm) generated from another authoring
program (such as Microsoft Word)
- Microsoft Word files (.doc)
- Rich Text files (.rtf)
- Formatted Text files (.txt) suitable for text2html
- Simple Text files (.txt)
If you have an article which you would like to send in a different format,
please send a query first.
Please send any articles for inclusion, details of links, or any queries
concerning contribution to this site, to the site maintainer at
webmaster at durenmar nospam dot de.
