Outside the small chapel on the lower slopes of Santare Hill is a small graveyard where the deceased residents of Malinbois are buried. Some of the more notable former members are listed here.


Sir Piter Terrese (died 1216)

Died of old age at his castle.

Maendwrn (died 1217)

Turned to stone when he walked into a magical river in the realm of Hades.

Haniel (died 1218)

Killed by a mad Peregrine.

Peregrine Demonsbane (died 1220)

Killed with his Demon father in a massive Waiting Spell.

Tubak (died 1223)

Died of old age at Malinbois.

Seth (died 1224)

His bones were turned to molten lead by a magus somewhere South of the Sun.

Sir Ferrun Cato (1161 - 1224)

Killed by Crusaders in the defense of his keep.

Owen Weapon Master (died 1226)

Died of old age at Malinbois.

Palestina (1180 - 1227)

Missing presumed drowned.

Mandator Fulgoris (1166 - 1227)

He was irreparably transmuted into a Merrow by Fionn. He swam off into the sea with no memories of his former life, never to be seen again.

Gerald (died 1228)

Killed by the dragon Pan Cauderax in De Panne.

Peist (1197 - 1228)

Murdered by Simon in the Forest of Shadrishel.

Simon of De Panne (1183 - 1228)

Murdered by Fionn in the Forest of Shadrishel.

Armiger (died 1228)

Killed by Demons in the Forest of Shadrishel.

Jonothan (died 1228)

Killed by Armiger in the Forest of Shadrishel.

Turbaton (died 1228)

Killed by Faeries in a forest near La Rochelle.

Napoleon of Belabre (1164 - 1229)

Killed by the witch Shadrith in Arcadia.

Narryn (died 1229)

After losing both hands, he drunk himself to death at Malinbois.

Eloise Amoenitas (became a Faerie 1229)

Decided to keep the Hazel Crown and become the new Queen at the nearby Seelie Court after Bellantia.

Seban (1199 - 1230)

Killed by the minions of the Unseelie Prince Talhook somewhere beneath the Mediterranean.

Kara (1181 - 1230)

Died of a terminal lung disease. She passed away by the side of her husband Braeble at dawn in the chapel on Santare Hill one spring morning.

Andreas (1172 - 1231)

Wandered off into the wilderness as a bear, never to be seen again.

Hassan (died 1231)

Buried in an avalanche in the Alps.

Callidus Faberis (1172 - 1231)

Botched hideously with a Creo Corpus spell in the Alps. The remains of his body then fell into a crack which opened up in the mountainside.

Malevola Serini (1172 - 1232)

Killed by her enemy Malevola Alicii in Toulouse.

Venator (died 1232)

Serina's Familiar, who passed away shortly after her death.

"Blind" Oeric (1179 - 1233)

His head was tragically bitten off by the Rainbow Serpent in the Apple Garden. His ever-loyal canine companion, Argus, avenged him by landing the killing blow (bite) on the beast.

Sir Severin Parnaut (1200 - 1234)

Killed by members of the Forester's Guild in a warehouse in Canet-Plage.

Matthieu (died 1234)

Died at Malinbois after fighting members of the Forester's Guild in Canet-Plage.

Gaulthier (died 1234)

Killed by an infernally possessed woman in Frenais in Autumn 1234.

Braeble (1177 - 1234)

Withered to a husk after closing the Box of the Everglades in a Faerie regio. He was the longest-serving grog in the Covenant's history.

Nafesi (died 1234)

Withered to a husk after closing the Box of the Everglades in a Faerie regio.

Thccar (1205 - 1235)

Suffered a heart attack whilst trying to scare a maga in the grog games at Doissetep.

Guy la Foreaux (1189 - 1237)

Fell hundreds of feet to his death in the ravine at Home. He stumbled on the narrow bridge, and was just too slow to hold on.

Six (1194 - 1237)

Received a serious injury during the annual fight with the Rainbow Serpent. Her potential recovery was terminated by Davis' bungled attempt at chirurgy.

Jean-Pierre (1168 - 1238)

Passed away peacefully at dusk on his seventieth birthday in the chapel. It was diagnosed as a heart attack.

Morwen (1046 - 1238)

Salamandrus' Perdo Mentem ritual finally killed her, after she had agreed to sacrifice herself so that a Gateway to Arcadia could be opened.

Charles (1180 - 1238)

After his miraculous recovery, he came down with a brutally swift disease. He ran away from the chapel as a fearsome undead entity composed of maggots.

Charles(II) (died 1239)

Killed by Death (a scythe-wielding skeletal figure upon a horse).

Uuh (1213 - 1241)

Fell into a huge crack with two other grogs when the earthquake struck Malinbois.

Jean (died 1241)

Killed at the Place of Battle (an Infernal regio).
