Salamandrus has come from a somewhat shadowy background. His parents were
Diabolists and his parens has been discredited. He now hates demons and is
devoting his life to their destruction. He has had little dealing with the
Divine and has severe problems with it.

Notes
It was the final showdown between Malinbois and the Devourer and things were
not going too well. Several of the grogs and companions were under the effects
of spells cast by Dark Magi and both Salamandrus' DEO and the newly created
Wand of Demonic Destruction (DEO Lv 39) were not having any effect. Thus
Salamandrus decided that he had to do something. Fortunately he had foreseen
such an occurance and had taken a few pawns of vis with him. He rummaged
around in a few pouches and cast a spontaneous DEO with 26 pawns of vis! The
104th level spell sent the Devourer reeling back, but not back to Hell. Just
before Salamandrus was going to cast the killing DEO, the demon struck back by
immolating him. Fortunately Salamandrus proved remarkably resilient to this
and received only medium wounds. It was at this point that Salamandrus
(somewhat on fire) spotted the two other demons and one of the Watchers.
Through Salamandrus' spell, he had reduced the Devourer to a Might level below
that of a Greater demon, and thus these demons and the Watcher were here to
demote the Devourer and take it back to Hell.
Having dispatched the Devourer back to Hell, Salamandrus was left on medium
wounds from the immolation and was on medium wounds that were temporarily
cured by CHT, which would put him in a rather bad position come sun up. He
decided that the only course was to Wind of Mundane Silence the CHT's and then
have Saeed cast a CHT with vis. However what with his heavily wounded state,
this was not as easy as it seemed. After casting the Wind of Mundane Silence,
the pain returned. Saeed cast the CHT but Salamandrus felt his life slipping
away. It was at this point that he heard the recently deceased friar say
"God has need of you yet, my son", and with that Salamandrus regained
a grip on his life force and eventually returned to the living.
