All of the wealth was stashed away in the hidden vault (protected by a magical trap-door) - but since the trap-door is now disenchanted Maria keeps the valuables in her sanctum. There is a goodly sum of money there - 1,736 shillings worth, as of Winter 1238. Most of the money is in the form of silver livres, although there is also some jewellery.
However this is not nearly as much as there has been in the past; twenty years ago there was at one time in excess of 20,000 shillings in the Treasury! Recent expenditure on lab and fortress improvements, emergency spending and significant re-investment have kept the resources low for the past decade or so.
